Author Lisa Tawn Bergren is a very talented author.  I have loved her words of wisdom passed through the story lines of her children's book series for years.  There is many teachable moments in, 'God Gave Us Angels'.

Papa Bear finds his Little Cub searching for angels.  This Little Cub asks her father all sorts of questions regarding angels.  Everything from what angels look like, what they do, their purpose, and where they came from.. And with tenderness, Papa Bear answers all of Little Cub's questions.  I love and appreciate how biblically accurate {accoding to the documented chapters in James Holy Bible} this book is written, in a perspective that a child (and some adults) can easily comprehend.

I am stashing this one away till Christmas for my littlest.  I have high hopes for it to stay of good condition in his library so that one day, it may be passed down to his children, just as some of his books have been passed to him by his father.

"I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review."

Have you read any from the 'God Gave Us' series to your children?  What is your favorite childhood book?

The Crossmaker Art Set

An Easter Story with Art Lessons!

I bought this for my children as an Easter present.  Though they know the Easter Story, I still feel they're too young to watch the Passion of the Christ yet.  This art DVD set is a great example of the Sacrificial Love of the God and Jesus story according to the Bible, but child friendly.  My children could relate to the teaching and easy demonstration of the art lessons.  I also loved being able to pause it as needed for the littlest to catch up with the bigger boys when they were drawing and coloring.
Listed below are the 3 step-by-step art lessons:

• Glory
• He is not here, He is Risen
• Three crosses on a Hill

And Bonus Features.  The best part about these kits, is you can get them with the glow in the dark pencils and small UV light!

All of the See The Light - Drawing Children To Him series are amazing!  We are looking forward to doing each one!

The kit is amazing because it comes with everything you see here!

Or, you can get all 5 Bible Stories in a Keepsake Boxed Set
